The Differences in Human Full Lace Wigs Hair Types: Indian, Chinese & Malaysian

Image
Full Lace or Lace frontal wigs are all the rave these days. Women are going for a more natural look and some are trying to imitate the look of certain celebrities like Tyra Banks. They're achieving this by purchasing full lace wigs. Unfortunately, as with other things, like Louis Vuitton and Coach, there are good knock-offs and bad. Wigs and hair wefts are no different. I found this web site that offered photographs along with a description of the different types of human hair being used on full lace wigs. No sense in buying something cheap that will shed all over your house and have the transparent cap showing within weeks, right? Well, check out the site and review the descriptions below. You'll spend more on Malaysian hair but it's definitely worth the money as it is thicker than Indian Remy. I couldn't get a take on the difference between Indian Remy and Chinese Remy so I'm taking a quote from "junior member" on the Black Hair Media forum : "Let...

Wrongfully Accused: Cynthia Sommer, Marine Widow

Image
CHARGES DROPPED Use extreme caution when you judge. Especially when you're accusing someone of a heinous act/crime. You will shape the rest of their lives. Cynthia Sommer is a prime example of this. This woman, a mother of four and the widow of a United States Marine Sergeant, was accused of poisoning her husband, Todd Mitchell Sommer , with a massive dose of arsenic in order to get breast implants, sleep with different Marines and throw wild parties. Cynthia Sommer fell apart after the sudden death of the man she described as the love of her life. She didn't get rich. She paid off HIS bills with the SGLI money, got her breasts enlarged and tried to move on with her life. She grieved in a manner that put her in a bad light, but that shouldn't have branded her a murderer. The alleged arsenic in Todd's system is as big a fairy tale as Cinderella and it has been clearly proven yet the DA filed a motion to dismiss the case WITH PREJUDICE. What?! Read on for the entire stor...

Defense Department Eyes Substance Abuse Trends

Image
By Lisa Daniel American Forces Press Service WASHINGTON, Oct. 1, 2010 - October 25 starts Red Ribbon Week for drug awareness, and this year Defense Department officials hope to shed light on what may be a disturbing new trend in substance abuse by servicemembers, according to the department's director of health promotion and preventative services policy. While illegal drug use has held static for several years, according to the department's annual Survey of Health Related Behaviors Among Active Duty Personnel, the misuse of prescription drugs and legal substances is growing. In 2005, the survey showed an uptick in servicemembers' misuse of legal substances such as prescription drugs, inhalants, and compounds known as "designer drugs" marketed on the Internet often as herbal remedies, Lynn Pahland said in a Sept. 28 interview with American Forces Press Service. Unsure whether the increased reporting reflected real use or was a misinterpretation of que...

Special Stop-Loss Pay Deadline Extended

Image
By Jim Garamone American Forces Press Service WASHINGTON, Oct. 1, 2010 - President Barack Obama signed legislation yesterday extending the Retroactive Stop-Loss Special Pay deadline through December 3, DOD officials said today. Officials estimate about 80,000 eligible service members, veterans and beneficiaries have yet to apply for the special stop-loss pay. "It's important that all those eligible for this benefit take the opportunity to apply for what they've earned," said Lernes Hebert, the Defense Department's acting director of officer and enlisted personnel management. "We encourage those eligible to apply as soon as possible, to avoid the last-minute rush, which can increase processing time." The program was due to run out Oct. 21, 2010. The extension is part of the continuing resolution that funds federal government operations. Congress has not yet passed authorization or appropriations bills for fiscal 2011. The program affects military members ...

By Donna Miles American Forces Press Service WASHINGTON, Sept. 29, 2010 - Veterans of the first Gulf War as well as current operations in Iraq and Afghanistan now have a smoother path toward receiving health-care benefits and disability compensation for nine diseases associated with their military service, Secretary of Veterans Affairs Eric K. A final regulation published in today's Federal Register relieves veterans of the burden of proving these diseases are service-related: Brucellosis, Campylobacter jejuni, Coxiella Burnetii (Q fever), Malaria, Mycobacterium tuberculosis, Nontyphoid Salmonella, Shigella, Visceral leishmaniasis and West Nile virus. Shinseki added the new presumptions after reviewing a 2006 National Academy of Sciences Institute of Medicine report on the long-term health effects of certain diseases suffered among Gulf War veterans. He also extended the presumptions to veterans of Afghanistan, based on NAS findings that ...
