Takesha Rogers, faces charges, for the third time, after allegedly entering a restricted area at the Frederick Douglass Greater Rochester International Airport.
Rogers, 39, has breached airport security in May 2022 and April 2023, receiving time served and a year in prison. In May 2023, Rogers admitted climbing over a fence at the Rochester Airport and willfully entered the Aircraft Operations Area (AOA), which is a restricted area, on four separate occasions.
In April 2023, Rogers again attempted to evade the security requirements at the Rochester Airport, climb a fence, and enter the AOA.
This recent incident began 11:30 AM, November 27, 2024, where she again entered AOA at the Rochester Airport. A Monroe County Sheriff’s Deputy observed Rogers then running towards a moving aircraft that was taxiing towards the runway. She was then arrested again and transported to Rochester General Hospital for psychiatric evaluation.
Rogers appeared before U.S. Magistrate Judge Marian W. Payson and was detained.
