Memphis man found guilty in shooting death of new wife
A Memphis man who claimed he accidentally killed his new bride when he tripped and fell causing the weapon to fire and hit his wife in the head, has been found guilty of first-degree murder, The Commercial Appeal reported.
James Britt was widowed a month after exchanging "I do's" with new wife, Jennifer Grosser-Britt the night he readily admitted that he shot his 24-year-old wife two years ago in their Nutbush home, but he told police his gun went off accidentally when he tripped in the bedroom after searching outside for a prowler.
